Mad Monkey Hostel Siem Reap

We had the best time at this hostel!!! It’s got the social side of a hostel with the comfort and facilities of a nice hotel! The staff are the best, they organise great activities and events for everyone but also just genuinely want to have fun with everyone! We done a cooking class with the chef, he took us to the local market to learn about the ingredients and helped us cook 3 dishes! It was so good! We also went on a pub crawl, done the music quiz & pub quiz ran by Sokreom & Kassy! All was very fun! The hostel is a short walk from the main area of town/ pub street & is also very easy to get around by tuk tuk if you don’t want to walk! The food in the hostel is also lovely we ate there many times! We just loved it and will definitely be back ☺️

The staff are so friendly and are great at getting everyone involved with whatever activities are on from day-to-day. The hostel itself is great value for money, nice and modern especially with 2 lovely pools that get a lot of sun during the day. It’s also great that you can book tours / transport easily and directly though the hostel.

I booked for 2 days and stayed for over 3 weeks. The staff are AMAZING. On my first night, didn’t know anyone, David the manager came and shared a beer with me and introduced me to some of the guests, after that it became my home. Boren, local worker there is AWESOME, he’ll happily have a drink with you but also make sure you’re drinking enough water and taking care of yourself, he even took me to the gym one day. Camilio, South American volunteer there is one of the nicest human beings I have ever met. I was feeling down one day and he saw, showed me a video and sat and taught me a lot about life, as cliche as that sounds hahaha. Just such a great atmosphere honestly if you come to Siem Reap you have to stay there and experience it for yourself

Best staff ever. Sokreom (sk) and Kassy make you feel at home once you enter the building. They care, initiate fun trips and just make the whole hostel something special. If you visit Siem Reap, visit this hostel. It has it all.

Great sized beds with ample storage space. Lots of options for things to do if you want to join in, definitely more of a party hostel. Good location in Siem Reap, staff were really friendly
